Artwork: TLS – Carina Nebula / Gally‑Bibiena Polyhedra (2023)
Inspired by the awe-inspiring beauty of the Carina Nebula, one of the Milky Way’s most active star-forming regions. Castañeda fuses cosmic imagery with geometric abstraction, overlaying dodecahedral forms—echoing the Baroque theatrical designs of Ferdinando Galli da Bibiena—to explore the interplay between celestial phenomena and human-crafted structures. The vibrant polyhedra hover over swirling nebular clouds, evoking how light, matter, and geometry converge in both outer space and architectural representation.
