Artwork: Captain Orion
Captain Orion is a performance-based artwork created for Mission #2: Vacate – The Encounter. Through character invention and live embodiment, Urdaneta introduces Captain Orion, a fictional space voyager who becomes part of the Solaris Galaxy Park narrative. This performative intervention blurs the boundaries between theater and immersive installation, expanding the storyline of Apollo and Artemis with a new presence that guides audiences through cosmic encounters. As both a character and an artwork, Captain Orion integrates humor, drama, and invention, reinforcing Solaris’s exploration of resilience, imagination, and the construction of myth in outer space.
